We are members of a The Passivhaus Trust, an independent, non-profit organisation that provides leadership in the UK for the adoption of the Passivhaus standard and methodology. The Trust aims to promote the principles of Passivhaus as a highly effective way of reducing energy use and carbon emissions from buildings in the UK, as well as providing high standards of comfort and building health.
The Green Register is an independent, self-funded and not-for-profit organisation whose principal goal is to promote sustainable building practices across all disciplines of the construction industry. Bow Tie regularly deliver workshops and masterclasses at our building sites during the construction phase to give delegates the opportunity to see exposed building fabric.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a non-profit-making, independent organisation. Bow tie Construction voluntarily registered with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. This code underlines our commitment to care about appearance, respect the community, protect the environment, secure everyone’s safety and value our workforce.
Bow Tie Construction are approved members of the NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme allowing us to self-certify our electrical installations for Building Control. This also means our electrical installations are Trust Mark approved.
We are working with EnergieSprong UK to design a large scale zero carbon retrofit solution for apartment buildings that meets the 2018 relevant buildings amendment for fire safety. The R&D has been funded by The EU and Innovate UK.
Green Building Store have awarded us approved contractor status having visited a number of our MVHR installations and attesting to the high quality of our work. GBS introduce us to clients seeking MVHR installations in London and the home counties.
We are certified as Loxone silver partners with several of our workforce having been trained to design and install Loxone products. Bow Tie Construction is a participant on the Goldman Sachs 10KSB business accelerator program. We were selected from many applicants for our growth potential and our environmental credentials. The program has yielded results helping us to develop our business strategy and processes.
We are in partnership with Beattie Passive to deliver their airtight insulated envelope structure system within our London and home counties work area. Using the system on a build dramatically shortens the build schedule saving our clients a big slice of their expenditure. It is the only Passive House certified modular construction system suitable for flood-prone areas.
