Hammersmith
Project Description
This is our third project for bere:arachitects, the continuation of fruitful collaboration between one of the UK’s best known award-winning low-energy architecture practises and Bow Tie Construction.
The house is being completely stripped out and its thermal efficiency upgraded to near Passive House standards. New bathrooms and kitchen will be installed and the entire house redecorated. An MVHR system will be installed to ensure clean fresh air 24/7.
“Bow Tie are meticulous in how they do things”
“Rafael is particularly knowledgeable about green issues and we now have a kitchen/breakfast room which is easy and cheap to heat in the winter and cool in the summer.”
“Your guys did a very good job on the [window] installation, nice and precise and the assemblies fitted perfectly….Very good silicon application too, with a nice 5mm joint. So please do thank them on behalf of Cristina and myself. We are very pleased.”
“We’re expecting a dramatic reduction in costs. We now know how much energy we’ve used (in March) and we rarely have the heating on compared to this time last year in our old house.”
“Not only was the work done to exactingly high standards but Rafael made many excellent suggestions which resulted in a build which made more sense.”
