Hammersmith
Project Description
This is our third project for bere:arachitects, the continuation of fruitful collaboration between one of the UKβs best known award-winning low-energy architecture practises and Bow Tie Construction.
The house is being completely stripped out and its thermal efficiency upgraded to near Passive House standards. New bathrooms and kitchen will be installed and the entire house redecorated. An MVHR system will be installed to ensure clean fresh air 24/7.
“My projects with Bow Tie are the only ones where Iβve left the contractor to follow my airtightness details and the projects have passed the 1st airtightness test.”
“Rafael is very familiar with the latest building technologies and is always on hand to offer suggestions and advice on the practicalities of achieving the desired end product.”
“Rafael demonstrated a great knowledge in respect of building work and was able to draw plans and give advice regarding interior design.”
“Weβre really lucky to have Bow Tie Construction working on our project. Thanks for all your fantastic work so far.”
βThis house is cosy and comfortable but in a natural way. Our old house was of similar scale, area and build and if you wanted to heat a room you had to blast it and the air would then be very dry and that heat would quickly leak out.β
