Reflections on Futurebuild and the Big Retrofit Challenge
Looking back at Futurebuild and the Big Retrofit Challenge, we are reminded how important these industry events are.
From helping build and prepare the physical exhibition stand, to discussing technical solutions, sharing practical site experience and taking part in conversations about the future of retrofit, it was a fantastic opportunity to contribute in different ways.
What stayed with us most was the number and quality of conversations. Speaking with designers, contractors, manufacturers, consultants, housing providers and retrofit specialists highlighted just how much knowledge exists across our industry when people come together with a shared purpose.
Sometimes the real value of these events is not what happens on stage, but the discussions around it. The exchange of ideas, lessons learned, challenges faced and solutions found.
I genuinely believe that our industry moves forward through these moments of collaboration. It is where innovation becomes practical, where ideas are tested against real-world experience and where meaningful change begins.
We are proud that Bow Tie Construction and the wider Transform-ER team were able to play an active part, not only by showcasing solutions, but by contributing to the conversation about how we deliver better, more sustainable buildings.
