Low-Energy Refurbishment of 2 Adjacent Houses
Design
Prewett-Bizley
Project Description

This project involved the interior refurbishment of two adjacent properties.

Both properties had new bathrooms fitted and were redecorated. Lofts were converted and showers and bathrooms added.

MVHR systems were installed to supply fresh filtered air in an area with a lot of traffic and pollution.

“I have enormous respect for Bow Tie as a contractor: It’s a real pleasure not having constant battles and headaches from a builder trying to do the bare minimum.”

– Justin Bere

β€œThis house is cosy and comfortable but in a natural way. Our old house was of similar scale, area and build and if you wanted to heat a room you had to blast it and the air would then be very dry and that heat would quickly leak out.”

– Toni M

β€œWe’re expecting a dramatic reduction in costs. We now know how much energy we’ve used (in March) and we rarely have the heating on compared to this time last year in our old house.”

– Toni M

“I did get the benefit of regular updates and involvement in the project so I could see the quality of the work.”

– Raza Rizvi

“I’ve been very pleased with how Bow Tie have got on with the work.”
