This role would suit a Senior Architectural Technologist / Architectural Design Manager / Senior Design Coordinator.
3 x RIBA award winning eco-construction company Bow Tie Construction seeks a talented Senior Architectural Technologist with exceptionally detailed design and 3D modelling skills with a passion for sustainability.
The successful candidate will lead and resource our Design Team and report to the Managing Director. Their main responsibilities will be ensuring timely delivery of information packages in-line with RIBA plan of works, working from a friendly and sociable office with excellent air quality in High Wycombe, Bucks.
With projects featured on Grand Designs, Old House New Home and Donβt Move, Improve! the successful candidate will enjoy working on some highly notable and prestigious projects. Managing three designers, the successful candidate would have ownership of deliverables and the satisfaction of nurturing a small number of projects from inception to completion. A strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit is essential to our construction workflows.
All of our projects are low energy or Zero Carbon, making this is a great position for someone with sustainability at the heart of their values, knowing they are making a tangible difference to reducing global warming on a daily basis. We are working directly with local authorities who want to transition their housing stock to net zero carbon making it an incredibly exciting time to be part of Bow Tie Construction who are leading the way in this positive change.
Required skills & experience:
- Appropriate degree, qualifications and training.
- 3+ years residential architectural experience.
- Passionate about low and zero operational carbon construction.
- Advanced level Autodesk Revit 3D – If you are invited for an interview you will be set tasks in Revit to complete on the day.
- Advanced technical proficiency e.g. producing detail drawings.
- The ability to manage a team, multiple projects and own time to meet deadlines.
- Good understanding of construction sequencing, UK building regulations and the RIBA plan of works.
- The ability to lead the planning application process through to successful approval. Examples will be requested.
- Logical thinking, good mathematical and excel skills.
- Experience of Stage 1 – 4 technical design in Revit.
- Excellent spoken English and communication skills.
- Self-starter independently researching appropriate products, materials etc.
