Osborne and Bow Tie Construction have joined forces, creating a strategic retrofit partnership. The partnership provides a one stop solution to customers facing the monumental challenge to eradicate carbon emissions from their existing housing assets.
The partnership blends Osborne social housing maintenance and programme management capability in occupied homes with Bow Tie’s innovative carbon reduction methodologies.
Osborne approached Bow Tie due to our reputation and experience with net zero construction and retrofit. Together we will provide solutions to local authorities and housing associations who face the challenge of complete de-carbonisation by 2050. We are expecting the majority of this work to be to the Energiesprong standard. Both companies have submitted a joint entry for the RAHIP framework which would see £10 billion worth of Energiesprong retrofit work contracted over the next four years. Bow Tie are developing ‘BowTieSprong’ a holistic retrofit system for terraces and apartment buildings that relies upon tried and tested technology combined into a single service with a single installer.
Vicky Fordham-Lewis Manging Director Osborne Property Services commented
“The 2050 zero carbon objectives place an enormous technical, commercial and administrative burden onto social housing providers. Our partnership with Bow Tie has been designed to provide a flexible, customer centric solution to manage the entire journey to zero carbon across all types of housing stock. We are keeping the resident experience at the core of this offering”.
Hagop Heath-Matossian Innovation Director with Bow Tie added
“This collaboration will be a game changer for the retrofit sector. We are combining Bow Tie’s decade of bespoke retrofit expertise with Osborne’s excellent record of customer satisfaction as an embedded maintenance provider for Local authorities. Our joined-up approach means a single expert provider is responsible for scoping, design, installation and post-occupancy monitoring which will reduce responsive maintenance needs and costs. We believe our solution addresses all the associated carbon zero issues facing elected councillors, housing providers and their officers.”
